Cross-country skiing

Because of the situation of the two villages in the wide and sunny area within the mountains there are optimal conditions for cross-country skiers and winter hikers. A wide net of different slopes (about 80 km of double and skating tracks) crosses the varied landscape.

Sledging

The former 3 km long, lightened and snowy nature chute from Berggasthof Biberg to Hugenberg has been enlarged to unbelievable 6 km this winter! But not only sledging down can be a great adventure, also ascending can be an esciting and funny experience. Why? Because of snowmobiles, tractors and accommodation trains will help tired hikers to ease the ascent.

For about 4,- per person you will get from Hinterburgstub¥n to Huggenberg. From there you will walk for about 50 minutes throuh the snowy landscape to Berggasthof Biberg.

Snow shoe hiking

Skijumping

Is skijumping just a sport for watching? No, not at all. In Saalfelden you can learn skijumping as well in summer as in winter.

Step by step, in a 2 days course the basics of skijumping will be explained and performed. Imitationtraining and getting familiar with the equipement is a very important part of exercising. After knowing the basics you will make your first jumps and you will experience the feeling being a skijumper.
